Golden-headed Thrush Songbird
The golden-headed thrush songbird (lat.) Is a small songbird of the arboreal family.
the eye has a white ring. Legs are pinkish.
Nesting area - deciduous and mixed forests in the east of North America (central and eastern Canada). Wintering regions from Mexico to the north of South America.
The bird searches for spiders, insects, snails and other invertebrates in the forest floor.
A closed nest with a side entry is built on the ground. Clutch contains 4 to 5 eggs. The incubation period lasts from 10 to 14 days. Both parents take part in feeding the chicks.
S. a. canivirens (described from Georgia) has become synonymous with the nominative subspecies - S. a. aurocapilla ... Three subspecies are distinguished in the form:
Seiurus aurocapilla aurocapilla - breed in southern Canada and the southern and eastern United States, migrate from southern Texas and Florida through central America to Panama and the Caribbean, sometimes to Colombia and Venezuela,
Seiurus aurocapilla cinereus - breed at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and in the Great Plains - from the province of Alberta (Canada) south to Colorado (USA), migrate south to western Central America,
· Seiurus aurocapilla furvior - breed in Newfoundland, migrate to Cuba, the Bahamas and east of Central America.
