Collinsonia canadensis (Collinsonia canadenzis) - collinsonia canadensis -

belongs to the family Yamotkovye.
The drug is prepared from a tincture of freshly harvested roots.

CHARACTERISTIC
This plant is native to North America. Its feature is

knotty, hard, elastic root. The remedy has been tested twice, first it

experienced by Burt and then Dowla. The first author used a tincture, the second -

trituration. Both testers reported headache, the first in combination with

upset of the digestive system, in particular the rectum, the second - with

hot flashes, a feeling of heat, numbness, a feeling of expansion of certain

parts of the body. There was a feeling of lightness in the legs, as if the patient could

gallop like a deer. In Dr. Burt's trial, most symptoms

also went from top to bottom. As a folk remedy, as well as in

herbal medicine collinsonia is known as a remedy for chronic catarrh,

especially the stomach, intestines and bladder, as well as the nose, pharynx and larynx,

also with bronchitis and bronchiolitis. This plant serves, according to Hammond,

«Stimulant, the most effective tonic, has a pronounced

diuretic and mild laxative properties. " Hammond also

recommends this remedy for palpitations during menopause. F. S. Smith

notes that collinsonia is used as a folk remedy for

rheumatism. The same author speaks out against the use of the tool in

low dilutions in the presence of organic lesions of the heart. Generally,

the drug is effective for heart damage resulting from

suppression of hemorrhoidal bleeding, with tenderness in the area

heart, with fullness and tightness of breath, faintness.
Dewey notes that the drug has cured cases of

severe compressive pain in the region of the heart and frequent passage of blood with

stool, with cardiac symptoms occurring when

bleeding and disappear when it resumes. Collinsonia heals both

other.
It cures stubborn cases of dyspepsia with heaviness in the epigastrium in

patients with hemorrhoids.
Neuralgia and rheumatic pains in various parts of the body: in the upper

jaw, arms, hands, knees, joints.

HEAD
Dull pain in the forehead combined with constipation and hemorrhoids,

or pain resulting from suppression of hemorrhoids

FACE
Feeling of enlargement of the face and with heat, numbness and tingling, as if from

countless needles.
Flushes of heat and blood to the face, with numbness of lips, tingling, as if needles.

NERVOUS SYSTEM
Neuralgia in various parts of the body: in the upper jaw, arms, hands, knees,

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
Pulmonary hemorrhage with a hacking harsh cough, the blood is dark, thick,

with clots enveloped in viscous mucus, with restlessness in the chest, but without

pain combined with rectal symptoms.
Chest pain with hemorrhoids.

HEART AND CIRCULATION
Heart disease. Bleeding.
Severe damage to the heart: irritated condition of the heart nerves,

palpitations, lightheadedness, oppression.
Heart damage resulting from suppression of hemorrhoidal

bleeding, with tenderness in the region of the heart, with sensation

overflow and shortness of breath, lightheadedness.
Characterized by severe compressive pain in the heart and frequent

passage of blood with a stool, while cardiac symptoms occur when

cessation of bleeding and disappear when it resumes.
Increased excitability of the heart.
Periodic bouts of lightheadedness and oppression in the heart, aggravated by

the slightest movement. Palpitations during menopause.
Palpitations in persons suffering from hemorrhoids, with a decrease in the heart

symptoms of hemorrhoids increase.

MOUTH
Whitish coating on tongue, with loss of appetite.
Yellow coating at the root or along the midline of the tongue, with bitterness in the mouth.
Neuralgia and rheumatic pains in the upper jaw.

STOMACH
Nausea, with spasmodic pain in the stomach, with cutting pain in the lower.

parts of the abdomen, with constipation during pregnancy.

Vomiting with pain and heat in the stomach.
Epigastric heaviness. Sharp cutting pain in the stomach, paroxysmal,

occurring every few minutes while sitting.
Dyspepsia. It cures stubborn cases of dyspepsia with severity in

epigastrium in patients with hemorrhoids.

STOMACH
Severity and pulling pain in the pelvic region.
Colic with flatulence and nausea.

Anus and rectum
Most of Dr. Burt's cases concerned the intestines and rectum: pain

in the umbilical region and lower abdomen, constipation with discharge of solid

light stools, violent pushing, lightheadedness, slimy and bloody stools.

These symptoms indicate the possibility of using the drug in

cases of hemorrhoids, indeed, it is with this pathology that the medicine

most efficiently.
Sensation of splinters, sand, or stones in the rectum, worse in the evening

and at night, better in the morning.
Itching or burning in anus, with swelling of the perianal region.
Stool consisting only of clear mucus or mucus with dark impurities,

severe pain in the lower abdomen before a bowel movement, tenesmus during

discharge of stools, pain after a bowel movement, vomiting.
Dysentery stool. Dysentery with hemorrhoids.
Obstinate constipation combined with hemorrhoids, hard stools, very sluggish passing away,

constipation is accompanied by pain and flatulence.
Hard, lumpy stools. Stool in the form of dry, light balls.
The intestines work better in the evening than in the morning.
Stool is absent for several days with constant pressure in the rectum,

as well as heaviness and aching-pulling pain in the pelvis.
Hemorrhoids combined with constipation or even diarrhea, nodes

bleed or not bleed and protrude.
Bleeding nodules, bleeding persistent but not profuse, alternating

constipation and diarrhea. Hemorrhoids during menstruation.
Rectal prolapse combined with enlarged hemorrhoids

nodes. Diarrhea after childbirth. Proctitis.

WOMEN'S
Pathology of the uterus due to diseases of the rectum and intestines.
Itching of vulva with hemorrhoids.

MENSTRUATION
Hemorrhoids during menstruation.
Dysmenorrhea with hemorrhoids.

Antidote for Collinsonia is Nux vomica.
Differential diagnosis between Collinsonia and Aesculus hippocastanum by

Nash: Both remedies feel like the rectum is littered

intestine, but not in Collinsonia, hemorrhoids in Aesculus hippocastanum

usually do not bleed, and Collinsonia is constantly under tucked.

Aesculus hippocastanum has pain, rawness and aching in the back.

Collinsonia has severe, persistent constipation, causing colic.

Aesculus hippocastanum may not have constipation. Collinsonia celebrates

a more severe circulatory disorder with bleeding, and

disorder of skin sensitivity.
